Using our new super-mega-massive macro lense we uber zoomed in on various things, like my hat and a grapefruit. We were suitably impressed with the results.

A similar photograph, this time in focus.

This is a dreadful, horrible place, yet I am bound to it.

19.01.10

My favourite place in the whole world, my bed.

18.01.10

I'm going through a white wine phase, I think it's a backlash from all the belgian beer I've had recently. Only dry, not sweet.

16.01.10

We visited the market for some monkfish tails and captured some interesting images of the marine cadavers interred in ice gawking in bewilderment.

15.01.10

Turning my hand to even more creativity I undergo painting with acrylic on canvas. It started out looking like an approximation of respectable before I ballsed it up. It's a Holmsian hound!

Another food themed post, this time Tom Kha. I must have been good in a previous life to be spoiled so much in this.

Last night a veritable oriental feast was prepared for me, starting with pork jiaozi (dumplings), which were as promised, delicious. Followed by crispy duck pancakes, generously enshrouded in MSG laden hoisin which left me with an agonising thirst I was unable to slake. The meal was delectable, both courses serving tiny parcels of edible pleasure.

Down to our local for the adamantine quiz and a few jars.

10.01.10

We slept for 12 hours, ah bliss. Here's puddy refreshed and purged of yesterdays horror, we also have the opportunity to play with our new toy - Canon SX1.

09.01.10

After an epic fail of a journey to get home from London, eventually taking 11 hours, we return home weary and benumbed. I'd had little inclination to take pictures of our miserable odyssey so in substitute of an interesting or relevant image here's a shot I took of our bathroom floor as we finally reached home practically maniacal with joy that we'd be able to sleep and warm up in bed.

08.01.10

We ventured down to London for a friends birthday party, we knew few people there.

07.01.10

The snow catching the rising sun beautifully as I arrive at work.

06.01.10

Newly purchased lavender stuffed hearts hanging over my bed alongside another I'd pilfered from Sarah's wedding.

05.01.10

The snow started to settle as I arrived at work, looking suitably bleak.

04.01.10

The sky was a ridiculous swirl of colour as I left work, impressionistic brush strokes over hunslet.

03 January, 2010

03.01.10

Last nights snowfall contrasted with the warmth of winter berries from the front garden.

02.01.10

We celebrate a belated christmas with friends in sheffield an abundance of meat is devoured.

01.01.10

Happy New Year. Nursing the traditional new years hangover we head down to cardigan fields for lunch at the louisiana grill, fajitas, on the walk back darkness falls on the seemingly abandoned fairground reminding me of the neaon graveyard in vegas www.neonmuseum.org.
